Who We Are

Ashton Tracy,
Vintage Seiko Restoration Specialist

Qualified watchmaker Ashton Tracy is the man behind the Seikologist. Ashton trained at the British School of Watchmaking in Manchester, UK where he completed the 3200-hour course and obtained his WOSTEP diploma in watchmaking.

He then went on to run his own workshop when he moved back to Melbourne, Australia. That workshop became the Australian Mont Blanc service center as well as a recommended repairer for Raymond Weil, Frederic Constant, Ball, and other brands. He also worked on many other brands including Rolex and Omega.

Ashton then moved to Canada and went to work at the Rolex Service Center in Toronto where he trained on most modern and vintage Rolex calibers. After leaving Rolex to once again set up his own independent workshop, he focused mainly on Swiss brands until realizing the huge gap in the vintage Seiko market.

With only a few watchmakers worldwide specializing in these and with long wait times, he focused on learning all about the intricacies of vintage Seiko’s, and the Seikologist was born. He now focuses on the repair and restoration of vintage mechanical and some quartz Seiko models.
